Screening rules
Is this safe for our setting? Here’s the whole answer.
Every item in every pack is screened against the rules below and then against your centre’s own prohibited-items list.
Never included — hard exclusions
- Any medicine, vitamin, mineral or supplement, and anything containing alcohol (including mouthwash, sanitiser, or lotions listing “alcohol denat.”).
- Nuts and any “may contain nuts” product; poppy seeds, hemp seeds and CBD. These can affect a drug screen and risk someone’s place in the program.
- Diet, “detox” or “skinny” teas and laxative blends; soft drinks and energy drinks.
- Aerosols and sprays, candles and incense are a fire and smoke-alarm risk.
- Sharps of any kind. Scissors, needles, razors, blades or metal points, including ones inside craft kits.
- Devices with a camera, WiFi or Bluetooth; hairdryers and straighteners.
- There is no cash or gift cards inside any pack.
- Used, opened, expired or unlabelled goods; anything needing refrigeration; and violent, offensive, political, religious or adult content.
Confirmed clinic by clinic
- Scented items, wheat or microwavable heat bags.
- Vouchers.
- Long cords or drawstrings (a ligature-risk flag), spiral binding, and pencil sharpeners.
- Items intended for residents’ children on site.
How we screen
- Every item is checked against this baseline first and then against the individual centre’s prohibited-items list before packing begins.
- The full contents list is sent to the centre in advance for approval.
- The full contents list is sent to the centre along with the packs.
- Packs are never sealed in a way that makes the centre’s own inspection destructive the custom belly band can be slipped off and put back on.
