Klaire Packs
Our goal · by the end of 2027

A Klaire Pack waiting at every women’s and children’s recovery centre in Sydney.

Recovery is hard, human work. A pack won’t do that work — but it can say, clearly, that someone is thought of. We want one at every centre, for every woman arriving, staying, and leaving.

The scale of the need

Recovery in Australia is common, and it is long work. The numbers show how many people are in it, and how much room there is for a small gesture at the right moment.

treatment episodes in a year
Australian services delivered more than 219,000 treatment episodes for people’s own alcohol or drug use in 2023–24.
≈ 4 weeks
a typical stretch in treatment

3 in 5
finish what they start
Around 59% of episodes end in a planned completion.

Why Klaire Packs exists

Behind every one of those numbers is a person. Ours had a name.

Every pack we send carries the small comforts I wished someone had handed Klaire, and every centre that joins widens that circle of care.

Thank you for being part of it.

Three packs, three moments

Recovery isn’t one moment, so a pack shouldn’t be one thing. Each one is made for a different stretch of the same journey.

Welcome · on arrival

A new foundation, built with care.

Sunscreen, Pilates socks, an eye mask, watercolour paints and breathing cards — the plain comforts of the first hard days.

Steady · mid-journey

Rest is doing something.

A journal and pen, cosy socks, a chocolate square, a pebble to paint and reflection prompt cards — small, steadying things for the middle.

Onward · on leaving

Stepping into tomorrow.

A beanie, peppermint tea, a seed pack, a handmade pottery piece and a local resources card — something made, and something to carry forward.
